Humidité is a sculptural experience based on the construction technique of rice-paper lamps. The work heuristically explores the possibilities of this structures, suggesting its potentialities before its introduction in the mechanized production chain.
At the end of the construction process, nori seaweed sheets are applied on the rice paper. These organic surfaces react differently to environmental variables such as temperature or humidity. This way, a struggle between two materials begins.
The process physically links this slow kinetic sculptures to the site conditions, and displace its identity towards an experience out of its own standard.
